Have you heard that a new Muppets movie is coming out in March 2014? I love The Muppets, not just because I was a Muppets Show junkie as a child. I’m probably most impressed with the fact that they have been able to stay interesting, funny, and relevant over several generations (sadly unlike another favorite, Charlie Brown). Muppets Most Wanted is the name of the new movie, and here’s the hilarious trailer:
Excitingly, the film features some of the absolute best comedians around (personal favorite Tina Fey, and Ricky Gervais!!) and is packed with cameos from a ton of stars. You can even catch Disney Channel’s Ross Lynch (AKA Austin Moon from Austin & Ally) at 1:46 in the trailer.
Today Disney sent me some really, really wonderful printables to promote the movie. I’m a sucker for instructions of how to draw favorite cartoon characters – they have always made me feel more accomplished and talented than I probably am! But really, they are not just fun, but they also are a great confidence booster for young beginner artists. As a sometimes-illustrator, I can say that the most frustrating thing about creating art is that the picture I get in my head isn’t always as good as the picture I can get out on paper. With step-by-step diagrams, these how to draw printables will give kids the recipe for drawing success and will give them more incentive to continue drawing!
